Channel 3 Organized “Channel 3 Doing Good Deeds for students at the Border Patrol Police school”

On 19 May 2023, BEC World Public Company Limited and Channel 3 led by Mr. Charkrit Direkwattanachai, EVP - Corporate Affairs and Communications Office, together with executives and staff volunteers joined “Channel 3 Doing Good Deeds for students at the Border Patrol Police School” at Ban Phraek Takhro Border Patrol Police School, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, under the Border Patrol Police Bureau. At the event, Pol.Col.Chananya Voraanuwattanagul, Superintendent Sub-Division 5, Support Division Border Patrol Police and executives, Ban Phraek Takhro Border Patrol Police School’s teachers and students joined the activity.

            In 2023, Border Patrol Police School Foundation initiates to print 50,000 student’s report cards to distribute to Border Patrol Police schools’ students to express gratitude to the royal grace of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on the occasion of her 1,111 visits to the Border Patrol Police Schools in rural and remote areas in 2023 to followed up on progress, and visited Ban Phraek Takhro Border Patrol Police School via electronic media on 24 February 2023.

            Ban Phraek Takhro Border Patrol Police School provides classes from Pre-school 2 to Primary 6. A total of 282 students are mostly Karen people who have difficulty using Thai to communicate, do the farming causing low household income.  

            In the response to the importance of education and human rights of students at Border Patrol Police schools in rural and remote areas can receive the opportunities as same as ones in urban areas, BEC World and Channel 3, therefore, organized “Channel 3 Doing Good Deeds for students at the Border Patrol Police School” activity at Ban Phraek Takhro Border Patrol Police School, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The activity included donated Bath 10,000 to support student’s report cards and essential items for the students such as towels, baby powder, cleaning appliances, etc. Moreover, the volunteers used inspiring stories to support students’ career guidance, advised students about adding value to the school’s products, played games and performed in a show, grew vegetables with students, also visited the vegetable farm which won the Young Farmers' Award at the provincial level. At the event, students also performed “Star Dance” with the meaning of unity, love and relationships between the Karen society to be harmony and not be discriminated on the grounds of race and religion.
