BEC Group hold a MOU signing ceremony for knowledge exchange and development personnel development.
BEC World Public Company Limited hold a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding for academic cooperation between the Company and the representative from 11 universities in cooperation through the exchange of academic knowledge and the assignment of students to work as interns in the company. At the event, Dr. Akaraphol Weerawong, EVP - People and Resources Management, and Mr. Apicha Honghirunrueng, President of BEC Studio joined the ceremony on May 5th, 2022 at Maleenont Tower.
The 11 universities that have signed the agreement include Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, Siam University, Mahasarakham University, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Burapha University, Chandrakasem Rajabhat University, Bansomdej Chaopraya Rajabhat University, Rangsit University, Bangkok University, and Srinakharinwirot University. The two main objectives of the cooperation are the exchange of academic knowledge which the Company will assign the personnel with specialized expertise to share knowledge at the universities. In addition, the interns will be provided practical training to enhance experiences in the entertainment industry.
Dr. Akaraphol Weerawong, EVP - People and Resources Management, BEC World Plc., stated that “This collaboration with 11 universities is a good starting point for educational institutions and business sector to jointly develop entertainment industry personnel. I saw the opportunity and filling the gap in curriculum development and educational cooperation.”
Previously, BEC World Plc. and BEC Studio Co., Ltd. had jointly collaborated on a project to train script writers called “The Creator Program” project. It was 10-week continuous training program, and one generation has already been completed. The participating universities signed the MOU also assigned their students to participate in the program. BEC Group believes that everyone should be given the rights of education and data access, which are the basis for the development of Thai society, to achieve true sustainability.
