Channel 3 further organized campaign: “Donating CDs/DVDs, Cultivating Good Deed to Welcome the Year of Tiger”. Corporate employees were invited to join the campaign by donating CDs/DVDs which no longer needed to the Association of Persons with Physical Disability International. The CDs/DVDs will be later sold to recycling centers. Consequently, it creates income for the association, and thus provides funds contributing to people with physical disabilities.
On 18 February 2022, Channel 3 further organized the campaign by donating 1,670 discs which no longer needed for the Company’s operation to the Association of Persons with Physical Disability International for selling to CDs/DVDs recycling centers in order to raise money to purchase tricycles and wheelchairs for people with physical disabilities
Channel 3 realizes that CDs/DVDs are non-biodegradable and contain toxic chemicals and metal that can contaminate the environment if landfilled. This activity cannot only help the people with physical disabilities but also help reduce electronic waste and plastic waste which bring to reduce the global warming, and recreate value in accordance with circular economy principle which emphasizes on keeping resources in use of optimal efficiency and benefits.
